A People Who Wait (Series on “Minding the Web”)

“Advent is a time that rightly begins the church year. But as Christians we wait not only at Advent. Rather, waiting is a time that is constitutive of every time of the church year. We are called to wait, because we serve a God who transformed time by being patient—even willing to die that we might live. Waiting is the fundamental stance of God’s nonviolent love that would give us the time in a hurried world to be a people who have learned to wait.” 1
