Speaking

I regularly lecture, preach, and teach in a variety of academic and ecclesial contexts.

In recent years, I have presented scholarly papers at the annual meetings of the Academy of Homiletics, the Canadian-American Theological Association, and the Canadian Society of Presbyterian History. I have been invited to speak at the Wycliffe College Preaching Day, the Tyndale Preaching Conference, the Canadian Mennonite University Xplore Series, and the Public Lecture Series and BTS Symposiums of Providence University College and Theological Seminary.

Congregations and denominational gatherings have invited me to speak on a wide variety of themes, including: the life and witness of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the Apostles’ Creed, preaching, Trinitarian theology and spirituality, Christian worship, discipleship and missional ecclesiology, and eschatological imagination.

In my desire to be of service to the ministry of local congregations, I regularly accept invitations to preach and have spoken to congregations across Canada.
